II. Help the Cause

Sri Vivekananda Ashrama renders help to all at various levels—physical, intellectual, and spiritual.  In a very humble way, the ashrama tries to find out the root cause and works from there. All the activities of the ashrama follow from the great dictum of Swami Vivekananda—Worship of human being is worship of God. All may not be able to participate directly in this great worship of God in all beings. But you can participate in activities mentioned below, and get the life's aim fulfilled. Here is how you can participate:

1. Puja and Temple Activities

2. Sri Saradeswari Library

  1. You can send books in good condition on religion, culture, philosophy and related subjects preferably in Tamil, Malayalam or English.
  2. You can subscribe religious magazines preferably in Tamil, Malayalam or English for the library.
  3. You can send money for the purchase of books or maintenance of the Library.

3. Hindu Dharma Vidya Peetam

  1. You may deposit a minimum of Rs.1000/-, the interest of which will be used for the purpose of Sunday classes and the expenses of the volunteer teachers.
  2. You must have noticed from the list of books that the books published from the Hindu Dharma Vidya Peetam are designed to meet the needs of a common Hindu and they are sold almost at the cost price. If you can subsidize them, they can be made to reach a larger cross section of people.
    You can send money mentioning the name of the title of the book which you intent to subsidize.
  3. You can get subscribers for Veda Murasu:

    For Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore:  Rs.225/-

Sri Ramakrishna Seva Sangam renders service to the poor and the needy. At present educational, medical services and relief activities during calamities are extended.
